The Lagos Green Festival In Colours Of Hope For A Better Naija!

The Green Festival took place at the 22nd Lagos  Book and Art festival recently.

It was a week-long event of virtual and physical activities.
The theme of the event was: 'A state of flux, coping in times of uncertainties'.

A lot of uncertainties rock the Nigerian Nation at the moment and those issues were addressed in different creative ways at the green festival. Eg the #End Sars and Covid-19 pandemic were pointers.

             A Journey to story writing 

Special features were green performances, green story writing, workshops, Gen Z green talk shops, read-aloud and talking books with CATE, ( Children And The Environment).

IRead Mobile Library and Rainbow House were deliberate about adding colour to the event.

Virtual sessions where musical performances and poetry added glamour to the green festival was one point of inspiration for all citizens to believe in a better 'one Nigeria'.

Carol school pupils in Agidingbi- Ikeja, did justice in this regard.

The CEO of CATE, Sola Alamutu, also known as the Green Queen, a Beach Samaritan, and an environmentalist left strong impacts by encouraging a new Nigeria in her speech.

Adults, as well as the children, ended the event in a positive light, that Nigeria will succeed.
