Run Away From Swindlers! -JAMB Warns Gullible Parents!

Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board's Head, Media, and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, has warned parents not to give in to any form of extortion during and after the ongoing registration for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
He said that it has come to the knowledge of the Board that some elite schools are using the name of the Board to extort a huge sum of money from parents under the guise that the Board has ordered such payments.
He said that unlike examinations like WAEC and others, the UTME and the Direct Entry (DE) registration and examination exercises are not school-based and have no role whatsoever in the Board’s operational processes.
Schools that are however using the name of the JAMB to swindle parents of a large sum of money for the purpose of registration or other services were warned to desist from the act.
It's obvious that some gullible parents could fall for this deceit, so to be fore warned is to be fore armed.
