11 million children are out of school in Nigeria!The executive director of the National Agency For Mass Literacy,Adult and Non-Formal Education,Professor Abba Abubakar Haladu has revealed!
This disclosure was made during a visit to te Government house at Umuahia, Abia State.The Governor,Governor Ikpeazu was commended for his efforts towards curbing illiteracy in Abia State but he decried Nigeria's dismal mass literacy record.
According to The Guardian, he urged the governor to equip the mass literacy agency for optimal performance.
He however congratulated the state for topping the table in the WASCE examinations in the last two years.the State-owned University in Uturu was also lauded for coming tops at the Nigerian Law School examinations.
