Boy killed on water slide was decapitated, witness claims

Grisly new details about the boy killed on the world’s largest water slide are emerging — with one witness claiming the child was decapitated. Park-goer Esteban Castaneda told ABC he “heard booms” coming from the area of the Verrückt slide at the Schlitterbahn water park in Kansas City, Kan., and then saw Caleb Thomas Schwab’s body wash down the ride. He told the network the boy appeared to have been decapitated. Police would only say that the boy, who was visiting the park on Sunday with his dad, Kansas Rep. Scott Schwab, died “from a fatal neck injury at the end of the ride, in the pool.” Two women riding in the water raft with Caleb, who were not related to him, suffered minor facial injuries.
