Kolade Visits Greensprings, Asks Parents To Help Wards Develop Talents

Nigeria’s former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr Christopher Kolade, has admonished parents to encourage and support their wards to become the best they can be.

Kolade who was at the Lekki Campus of the Greensprings school on a familiarization visit ahead of the forthcoming gala nite, a special event which the school will hold to raise money for a state-of-the-art performing arts centre and hall, believes that every child is blessed with the talent which he or she must be given opportunities to exercise in order to excel in life.

The renowned diplomat who meritoriously served in leadership positions of many national and international bodies while speaking at the pre-event gathering educated students and management staff of the schools on citizenship and excellence. He said citizens owe the country their allegiance and it’s the responsibility of everyone to make the country a better place for all.
Nigeria is a place that we depend on for everything that we have, all the facilities, all the opportunities we enjoyed today belong to Nigeria,” he said. “So if we want to live a happy life, we should take responsibility but more importantly, for the future generation, we need to do what we can for Nigeria today so that the country will continue to a good place to live in.”

Kolade who was thrilled with drama presentations and dance performance of the students commended the management for excellence and its achievements. The Executive Director, Greensprings School, Mrs. Lai Koiki, said the school was delighted to have Kolade as the special guest at the gala night coming up on January 30.

According to Greensprings’ Director of Education, Mr. Harry McFaul, the performing art centre would help the school to promote talents and to give students opportunities to be the best in academics and beyond.
